Belén Santana López

Bélen Santana López teaches at the Department of Translating and Interpreting at the University of Salamanca (Spain). She also works as a freelance literary translator. After several years of professional experience as a technical text and literary translator and as a university lecturer in translation studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, she completed her doctorate with a dissertation on the translation of the comic. Her research focuses on the theory and practice of intercultural emotionality, contrastive humor translation, and, in general, the theory and practice of literary and technical translation.
