We participate in the current trend of sharing scientific publications at no charge. All our books as well as—in case of anthologies—the contributions in them can be published as an Open-Access version at the same time as the printed book (Golden Open Access). This includes all sections of our Catalogue.

We gladly advise you regarding the applicable terms and conditions as well as your funding options.

Enforcing Quality

In order to enforce our high quality standards for all our Open-Access publications, we submit them to a strict peer-review process.

All our contributions to the Open-Access platforms are monitored by the independent OAPEN Foundation. Only publications of relevance are accepted to the OAPEN Library and the DOAB (Directory of Open Access Books). Frank & Timme's contributions to these platforms are proof of their high-quality content.

Visibility

You will find all Frank & Timme Open-Access titles clearly marked as such

on our own website,
in the OAPEN Library, and
in the DOAB (Directory of Open Access Books).

Storage

All our Open-Access publications not only have their ISBN, but also a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) which distinguishes them without fail. Among others, Portico ensures the long-term storage of all our Open-Access titles.
